The coffee flavour was surprisingly distinct and robust with a lingering bitter undertone and aroma. Texture is soft, fluffy though a little dry for my liking. The milky cream filling added a tinge of sweetness that was a good counter balance to the otherwise bitter bun. The top layer of chocolate chip embedded crust was crisp, crumbly that reminded of the polo bun's crust but without the pineapple carvings! 😂 A bread that would appeal to the true coffee lovers with its rich, strong notes of caffeine aroma and bitter undertone .
