It was love at first sight when Nasi Kuning ($9.90) was presented to us. β€ What stood out the most has got to be the pyramid of Indonesian fragrance turmeric rice donning a coat of alluring bright yellow. π€€π€€π€€ So soft & fluffy with a hint of the iconic spice - Iβm sure youβll have more than a mouth! π―

Served with traditional galangal fried chicken π, fried vermicelli, sliced omelette π³, begedil (fried potato cake π₯), sweet & spicy fried tempeh, garlic crackers & home-made sambal πΆ, this was such a filling & satisfying meal! ππ»ππ»ππ»

Iβve always got a bias towards begendil - crispy on the outside while remaining soft & moist inside πππ, well-seasoned to make this a savoury treat. The sambal was just mildly spicy & leaned towards the sweet side so itβs good news for those who canβt handle the heat well. ππ»

It is a meaty affair with Nasi Campur Bali ($9.90), which features Balinese-style beef rendang π, sambal shredded chicken π, sliced beef tossed with sambal, sweet & spicy fried tempeh, Balinese stir-fry long beans & beef skewer with basted homemade sambal πΆ. While the beef skewer may be a bit tough, the rest of the meats were pretty tender. Perfect for those who adore strong flavours. βπ»

Never mind if you get MESSI with this NASI, I wonβt judge you! π Time to head down to try!
