I have heard so much about casuarina curry but since Indian food hasn't been a natural choice for me and Sembawang was a little far out to travel, casuarina curry remained as one of the to - try places for the longest time .
I was craving for some spice this evening and decided to try casuarina curry at their sixth avenue outlet. I wanted something that was non Greasy and opted for the masala thosai , which is like a crepe , only with a stiffer texture and an added tinge of sour ( from the rice flour which it is made from). The masala thosai was filled with well seasoned potatoes and spices and served with a side of dhal , sambal and a coconut ginger garlic sauce. I loved how healthy and clean the masala thosai tasted and how the dhal nicely complemented the thosai. The thosai is best eaten on site and eaten warm as it tends to stiffen as it cools. At SGD 3.20 , I must say that portions are generous. Service is also excellent as the waiters took time to explain the difference between a masala thosai and a paper masala. Learnt something new today :)
