Helming from an ex-pastry chef of the renowned @blackstarpastry that’s also known for their watermelon cake, this cake certainly disappoint and was pretty impressive! 💖 Love how the Rose-infused pastry cream perfumes up the cake with a subtle, mellow floral fragrance to the naturally sweet watermelon that might pose a challenge in slicing the cake when consuming due to its juicy albeit rigid nature. The thin dacquoise layers were soft and fluffy with texture resembling that of meringue , possessing a slight chewy mouthfeel. Wouldn’t mind having another slice of this when it make its comeback in February! ✨ (Hopefully I would still be in Singapore then 🤭).
