Salmon, poached cod, pasta with salmon chunks etc. The mentaiko fish & chips comprised of a duo portion of fish fillet topped with drizzles of mentaiko sauce, fries and side salad. The texture of the deep fried cod fillet was on point- a batter that was crisp, crunchy and not too oily. Filled with an interior of soft, delicate and fresh cod fish, the mentaiko drizzle added a subtle pleasant umami flavour which could have been more distinct with a greater presence. Nevertheless, I do fancy the fact that cod fish is used instead of the typical and common dory! Thumbs up for a higher quality and grade of fish at such pocket friendly pricing! ππ» The fries were decent, crisp and served with optional ketchup and chilli sauce. One of the best fish & chips with a pocket friendly pricing and a crunchy, crisp batter that really satisfies my palate. If only there was more mentaiko though - an additional $2 for this portion ..? π€ .
