I’ve learnt hard to avoid tourist attractions in China on weekends and public holidays.

Although it was a crazy crowd to squeeze into yu yuan, it was the best choice to find refuge in this pavilion tea house right smack in the middle of yu yuan.

At a price of around $20sgd per teas (compulsory to order one per person), you will not find anyone trying to crowd you out. Ambience is great and view is great. Snacks like tea egg, tow gwa and preserved olives are on the house.

The range of teas is also extensive. Definitely go for the long jings, mild, slightly bitter sweet and easy to drink. 😋
