Judging based solely on this commonly-found beef dish, I think Imperial Treasure Fine Teochew is deserving of their One Michelin Star. They get it so perfect, it is head and shoulders above most, if not all that I have eaten.
Each large, juicy cube of beef hits the optimal point of tenderness and the amount of seasoning is just right. Add to that, thin slices of garlic fried till golden brown and fragrant, yet light and remarkably grease-free.
Worth clashing chopsticks to get the last piece.
