I have come to appreciate celebratory weeks, it was dad’s 61st birthday and I had planned this weekday dinner to watch the sunset. Lavo was an excellent choice as I’ve experienced last year during my staycation at MBS. On that faithful Thursday evening this was reconfirmed when we saw that beautiful blue- orange hued sky.
That day we also got to savoured the food here which we enjoyed. I recalled having their signature cocktails and thought they were typical so I ordered a whisky sour and was happy with it. Upon my request for the drink without ice it was a great marriage between manly whisky and dainty tang. I could have this with the cured meat and formaggi platter again and again, with explicit mention of the delicious buttered rye bread slices.
The food at Lavo is not your Michelin standard mains but they are hearty and delicious as you bask in a grandeur environment.
