since the one she initially proposed was fully booked, i went with this place instead. and it yielded results which were not bad.

ordered a set of full omakase each and a serving of cold sake to share. first time having sake and it was alright i guess.

images are in the order of my likes. favourite would be the beef steak. grilled nicely teppanyaki-style. beefy and good on its own without the need for any other condiments.

second favourite was the asari soup with sakura ebi. clams were plump and juicy and the shrimps added a nice sweet touch to the already robust soup while retaining their own crisp.

third dish on my list was the appetiser which consisted of white asparagus and friends. loved the asparagus. sweet and nice to bite into. but the one i had previously at the dbs treasures private client dinner was nicer though.

sashimi was fresh and i particularly like the spanish mackerel here. liked the texture of the fish and which glides down the throat easily without the need to resist any fishy-ness.

cooked items were just normal to me. nothing spectacular. the garlic rice only had a slight hint of garlic and the egg was not exactly liquid for me to mix with the rice. kyuu definitely does the cooked stuffs better. seasonal fruits were the dessert of the day which i believed is fig as enlightened by my dining companion.

overall an omakase lunch which was quite alright. not overly ex as compared to other places while keeping me both satiated and satisfied. and happy belated bday jy!
