Chendol on toast! You know how excited I was to see my favourite chendol incorporated as a toast. The traditional chendol dessert came with gula melaka pour onto the ice shavings, this cleverly uses a gula melaka ice cream instead.

I love how crispy the toast is. Although some may find it dry, I mixed it with the ice cream to moisten it. Mixing the toast with the ice cream also helped to balance off the sweetness of the gula melaka ice cream (I found it overly sweet when eaten on its own).

This is Dazzling Cafe's version of chendol, in a form that they're famous for. I could call this a Chendol Toast. Taken during an invited tasting.
