This suan la fen is one of the better versions I’ve had in a while for how well-balanced it was! You get a very drinkable broth as it wasn’t at all that oily. The tangy sourness is more distinct with a bit of the numbness at the back, and I especially liked how it wasn’t overly salty. The default amount of spice is manageable, but I’d definitely ask for more in future. Noodles had a good chew! My only gripe is that it’s much pricier.

This was $7.50 a la carte, but you can get it as a set. I went with Set A that has this, their pork rou jia mo and a choice of drink at $13.90.
