Ho ho ho! As it inches closer to Christmas, we’re busy feasting over here making sure we get our hands on all the limited edition festive goodies available!

And this is no exception, we had the 𝐗𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 ($9.50) recently from Keong Saik Bakery! A unique combination featuring caramelised bananas and banana cake in the middle, finished off with hojicha mousse and hojicha whipped ganache. Although it seemed like an exquisite piece, I felt like the flavours didn’t complement each other as much as I had hoped. The hojicha taste was barely distinct, and made for an odd pairing with the bananas. I ended up enjoying it deconstructed, rather than as a whole cake.
