A nice Sunday spent at O Happi Place! Hidden in the estate of Everton, the gelato parlour had quite the selection. Hence, my friend and I settled on having the Crofflato which is their Croffle ($7.50) complemented by their gelato and a drizzle of our choice. The flavours we got were the premium Kopi Bergamot Orange and the best-selling Ju Pu ($8.20/ Double, +$1.20 for premium).

Stacked on the crisp-tender croissant-waffle hybrid, the scoop of Kopi Bergamot Orange was punchy on the first taste. Though fragrant, the flavours from each element were a tad strong for me and the complex taste of the bergamot was a little overpowering. The citrusy taste from the orange was distinct too, so together with the bittersweet aroma of the coffee felt pretty odd.

However, the Ju Pu was right up my alley with the delicate floral sweetness. A blend of Pu-er and chrysanthemum tea, the creamy gelato was really well-balanced and refreshing. The two tea flavours were able to meld together really well. You get the gentle earthiness of Pu-er and the sweet, honey-like perfume of chrysanthemum - the best of both worlds. Oh their Matcha Latte ($7/ iced), though milky, was pretty good too.
