Went at 130pm on a weekday and there was barely any queue, lucky me

They do deserve their usual queue though, this was impressive. The soup was sweet enough to balance their generous amount of bittergourd and the bitterness it brings to the soup. Fish was cottony too, really fresh stuff.

Deserves the hype, just try to avoid the office lunch peak hour(moves reasonably fast tho)

Was very impressed with fish-noodle ratio & the thickness of the fish slices!!! The bittergourd and ginger made this a very flavourful bowl of fish soup. Perfect for a rainy afternoon 🥰

Simple and nourishing, the Sliced Fish Soup ($4.50) here is boosted with the nutritious bittergourd. While it might look like an alarming amount of bittergourd, the clear soup is sweet from lots of fish bones, well-balanced and not bitter at all. Fans of this style of fish soup will not be disappointed with this fresh and comforting rendition. Come early, they sell out fast!

You can find lots of stalls selling fish soup, but seldom a stall that specialising in their bitter gourd soup base.

The amount of bitter gourds is very generous in my bowl but it taste excellent, not too bitter to me.

The first thing you'd notice is probably the super generous thin slices of bittergourd in each bowl. It adds on just a touch of bitterness in the comforting soup but doesn't overwhelm it. No milk added in here and you get a good taste of the natural sweetness from the fish bones. For added on rice or noodles, it's a 50 cents top up.

Super fresh sliced fish with thinly slicked bitter gourd. The broth was made from the large amount of fish bone. Even lots of bitter gourd was used, the soup wasn't bitter and it even had a light comforting sweetness. Such soup is best for weather like this - Rain and hot sun.
