Indomie goreng, smashed chicken @ level 3 spiciness @ $8
Top: + egg @ $1
Bottom: + brocoli @ $2

Walked past this place and decided to go in even though not very hungry as we've been wanting to try this for quite some time. So it means something to say the food is good given that we weren't super hungry.

The indomie tasted great as always (even homecooked ones are great) though portion is a bit small. The smashed chicken it's tender and juicy and comes in good portion. Good that they had the option to add some greens to the dish which helps to balance out the heaviness of the noodles and chicken.

We handled level 3 spiciness quite ok, and will go for higher level next time.

Just a few minutes walk from Clarke Quay MRT Station, @fangkocoffee is a cosy café to chillax and enjoy authentic Indonesian🇮🇩 cuisine with modern Western influence. Don’t need me to say lah, you’ve to pair your food up with their specialty coffee such as Gula Melaka Kopi, Avocado Coffee, Whiskey Coffee & Jamaica Rhum. And if you’re looking for desserts, @fangkocoffee got you covered until 10.30PM with their newly launched waffles & ice-cream!

👉White Chimken (NEW)
📝Can’t take spice well, this is the dish perfect for you! Coated in creamy white sauce that has a sweet mayonnaise flavour, the crispy chicken and pan-fried tofu cubes came together in a harmony of flavour and textures.

👉Indomie Goreng w Smash Chimken (spicy smash level 1-12)
📝Decided to opt for level 2 instead since I was “destroyed” at level 3 previously. Guess what? It was still spicy I managed to finish it! Came with a generous portion of tasty smash chicken that packed a fiery punch, there was a perfect harmony of crunchy skin and succulent meat, which made every mouthful so satisfying. Special mention goes to their zhng-ed Indomie Goreng, which was tasty and homely. SHIOK!

👉Waffles & Ice-cream (NEW)
Pistachio and Cookie Monster
📝Really impressed by their freshly made waffles that’s crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. It complemented their rich and creamy ice-cream well!

👉Gula Melaka Kopi
📝Coffee with homemade brown sugar! I like that it wasn’t too sweet with the welcoming bitter notes from the espresso.

👉Matcha Latte
📝Didn’t expect this to be good too! Milky and slightly sweet, with distinct matcha notes.

💌Thank you @fangkocoffee for having me!☺️

We were back at FANGKO+ Coffee & Beer recently to try some new items on their menu.

One of the new dishes is the White Chimken (top right pic), which was pretty good! It’s a mixture of chicken and firm tofu cubes drenched in a tangy and creamy sauce which kinda reminded us a little of the Filipino dish sisig. Their Indomie Goreng w/ Smash Chimken is still as yummy as I remembered, and the spiciness is still really deadly even though I had level 3 this time (can’t believe I survived level 6 previously)!😅

We also had their waffle with gelato (pistachio & Fangko gula melaka) for dessert. We liked how light and crispy the waffle was, and the gelatos were so rich and creamy!

Fangko is known for its rice dishes, but their secret gem is this fried chicken burger. Biting down brings a phenomenal crunch from that juicy slab of chicken, while the sauce adds another layer of decadence. A must order if you’re here!

Who is ready to take up a spicy challenge?🔥

If you're adventurous with spice, this one's for you! We tried the signature Smash Chimken (yes it is spelt this way, and not a typo). Served on a spiciness level of 1 to 12, I was told that locals usually order level 1. This dish is similar to ayam penyet smashed and fried in homemade spicy sambal. At level 4, we could definitely feel the fiery heat but it was addictive nonetheless 😩💓

This is also available in blue pea rice option, though we ordered the indomee one.

Trust me, if you order the Smash Chimken, you're gonna need a drink!

Tried the Nasi Rames (chicken rendang) at this affordable Indo-western cafe around CBD area. The meat is tender and served with dry curry. Our meal came with the sides of tempeh, fried crackers (keropok), some greens and egg 🍳

Also tried the caffeine options here!
