Double Scoop Waffle w/ Earl Grey & Belgian Chocolate [RM17.00]⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
✨: One can never go wrong with ice cream and waffles. Unlike a certain popularised ice cream parlour, the waffles at Fat Baby put up a strong front against melting ice cream. Instead of turning soggy, the warm, fluffy waffle melds with the cool, velvety ice cream to create what I call ultimate happiness :D The earl grey was fragrant while the Belgian chocolate was just the right amount of decadent. ⁣
⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣💬: Fat Baby only opens on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Someone, please explain this business model to me AHAHHA ⁣

I love you, Fat Baby. At this rate, I’ll soon become one. ⁣

I finally did it. I finally tried Fatbaby Ice Cream for the first time! It didn't disappoint. I had a scoop of Banoffee Pie (I forgot the name, tbh). I decided to add on a piece of brownie on top for an additional of RM2. Altogether, it was RM10. I thought that was quite a standard price. I would come back to try the waffles.

When talking about ice cream (I'm sorry but) I tend to compare it to Inside Scoop's. When I finally visit this place I was quite anxious on how the ice cream will taste. The flavor range they serve is quite normal as they normally serve in any ice cream parlor. I tried a double scoop waffle with Belgian chocolate and hazelnut almond flavor.

A single waffle served with two ice cream and cuts of little bananas drizzled with caramel fudge sauce. I think the bananas are way too small by the way. The waffle was the crispy type. The crispy outer skin with a little fluff part in the inside. The waffle was good and not to sweet to prepare a place for the ice cream to shine. The ice cream itself was quite good. The only thing was it wasn't creamy enough for my expectation. The Belgian chocolate was quite good and the hazelnut almond flavor also lived to its name with balanced ratio of hazelnut and almond flavor.

Avoid visiting this place on weekend nights as the place was not big and it was hard for me to find a place to sit when I got there.

Fat Baby doesn't really need much of an introduction to some. If you've been to places like the RedBean Bag, Podgy and the Banker, Standing Theory and a few more cafes it's likely you've had their ice cream.

Open on Fridays and Saturdays 2pm - 10pm and Sundays 2pm - 8pm. This shop is located right opposite Oregi SS15, the same row as The Hungry Hog.

I ordered a waffle + double scoop (RM 17) with the flavours Madagascar Vanilla Bean and Peanut Butter + Cookies. The vanilla ice cream was fragrant but not too sweet, like that of cheap vanilla ice cream with way too much sugar. The peanut butter ice cream tasted just a nice dose of peanut butter-eyness with the cookie elements adding a nice crunch. Not too nutty. Not too un-nutty. Paired with their waffles that are crispy but also light and fluffy along with their salted caramel sauce. The whole thing just comes together in harmony.

If I had one thing to complain about. I would want more Bananas.... but that's just me being a banana fan.
