Chinese New Year is just around the corner! That means it’s time to plan for a reunion dinner with your loved ones.

What better way to celebrate the year of the Rabbit than to bond with your family members over a delicious feast? If you’re unsure of where to go for your upcoming reunion dinner, here are some restaurants to consider!

JU Signatures

For Auspicious Chinese New Year Sets
Kick off the lunar new year with Ju Signatures’ festive goodies and auspicious Chinese New Year sets! Better known for their insta-worthy dim sum and Cantonese classics, this six-month old eatery at Serangoon Gardens is helmed by Chef Wong Kok Shyong who previously worked at Peony Jade, and is armed with 30 years of kitchen experience.

Together with his culinary team, Chef Wong is delighted to launch the JU Treasures Pot ($268 for 6 pax) which comes with a free Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yusheng Platter (worth $38). The pot is laden with 16 premium ingredients: namely abalone, sea cucumber, fish maw, scallop, prawn, smoked duck, pork tendon, roasted pork, chicken, radish, mushroom, yam, Chinese cabbage, beancurd skin, fatt choy, and broccoli.

Hop into the Lunar New Year with Soup Restaurant’s bountiful spread of traditional dishes in their Joyous Set Menu ($128 - $628) and Prosperity Set Menu ($168 - $888). These sets can be customised to feed up to 2 to 10 pax! Be sure to look out for six new mouth-watering dishes: the Abalone Collagen Treasure Pot with Cordyceps Flower, the Double Boiled Golden Chanterelle Mushroom Soup & Dried Scallop in Chicken Soup, the Double Happiness Sweet Potato Steamed Rice with Chinese Sausage, the Yuzu Pork Chop, the Osmanthus Citrus Jelly, and the Handmade Bounty Bunnies.

Two Michelin starred Shisen Hanten by Chef Kentaro ushers in the Year of the Rabbit with a decadent and resplendent ensemble of festive set menus. Commemorate the long-awaited reunion with your loved ones with a selection of eight themed set menus—these include the Opulence Menu ($138.80 per guest), the Fortune Menu ($158.80 per guest), the Triumphant Menu ($178.80 per guest), and the Splendour Menu ($288.80 per guest), just to name a few.

If you decide to dine at home instead, opt for their takeaway and delivery offerings which include the Prosperity Salmon Yu Sheng, the Abundance Fortune Pot, and classic bite-sized festive goodies such as the Golden Pineapple Ingots, the Four Treasure Mini Nian Gao, and more!

For Well-Curated Chinese Delicacies
Join YUN NANS as they ring in the Year of the Rabbit! The restaurant will introduce six Chinese New Year set menus with well-curated delicacies so get ready to bond over good food with your family and friends. Dishes that are only available during the Chinese New Year period and will be making a comeback this season include the popular Prosperity Treasure Hot Pot and the “Bi Feng” Style Pork Ribs with Truffles. In addition to this, two new dishes will be unveiled: the Roast Chicken and Sauteed Tiger Prawns with Superior Soy Sauce.

Their set menus for dine-in range from $338++ for 4 pax to $828++ for 8 pax. Each set comes with the Freshly Baked Rose Pastry, a traditional Yunnan dessert, and the new Prosperity Abalone Yu Sheng which sees shredded white carrots arranged in the form of an adorable rabbit.

White Restaurant

For A Grand Fortune Abalone Yusheng
Toss to an auspicious New Year with White Restaurant’s customised set menu offerings! Diners can look forward to festive sets specially curated for groups of 4-10 pax, as well as a la carte dishes from delicious roasts to fresh seafood. Whichever set you opt for, your feast will begin with the Grand Fortune Abalone Yusheng ($49.90 for small, $66.80 for large). Each set will also be headlined by the signature White Beehoon with festive deluxe additions such as scallops and abalone.

Dishes that will be making their debut this year include the Prosperity Bag with Broccoli and Mushroom ($25.80), the Steamed Halibut Fillet ($18.80), and the Prawn and Broccoli in XO Sauce ($21.80). And, let’s not forget the classic staples like the Deep Fried Marble Goby ($48 for small, $68 for large), the Crispy Roasted Chicken ($28.90 for ½ kg, $48.80 for whole), and the Braised Crab Meat and Fish Maw Thick Soup ($12.80 for one serving, $35.80 for 4 pax).
