Since the closure of their Shunfu Mart stall last August, the search for a location closer to the owner’s home finally ended at Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre. You lucky Woodlanders now get to enjoy their stellar roast meats!

Thank you Burppler Khaw Han Chung for posting about this good news.

Seafood Pirates

Here’s one more reason to visit Yishun Park Hawker Centre: Burppler Jackson Sim’s new favourite seafood soup! He likes that it has “so much depth thanks to the natural sweetness from the seafood” and that the prawns are very fresh. Instead of white rice, he also implores you to opt for the one that is topped with fluffy omelette studded with plump oysters!

Zhong Pin Noodle House

This stall specialising in Sarawak fusion cuisine previously from Bukit Timah Market & Food Centre has relocated to 163 Bukit Merah. Make a pit stop here to get your Sarawak Laksa fix, or try their other signatures like Pig Trotters Noodle and Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle.

Thanks Xan Tan for sharing this with us!

Prawn Village

Burppler Amanda Liu spotted Golden Mile Food Centre’s Prawn Village in Ghim Moh Market and joined the queue for a satisfying bowl of prawn noodles. She likes that the crustacean-sweetened broth was thick yet not overwhelming. And for $4, she adds that you get to choose from a variety of noodles, including healthier options such as wholegrain noodles!

Berseh Food Centre is back in business after two months of renovation. It's time to revisit for foolproof oyster omelette, value-for-money Halal mookata, super satisfying oyster pancake, restaurant-quality Western classics and solid kopi!

Fatty Thai

Love Thai wanton noodle? Make a pit stop at this new stall run by young local hawkers that Burppler Xing Wei Chua discovered. Available in three sizes ($3/4/5), our #ForeverHungry community's loving the bowl of springy noodles topped with homemade wantons and char siew plus freshly fried pork lard! The dried chilli powder packs a punch, so watch out when adding more.

Geylang Bahru Market & Food Centre

Burppler Sheryl Lyx spotted a notice outside Guan Hin Homemade Carrot Cake that they're reopening back in Geylang Bahru Market & Food Centre (#01-45) come 7 Jan. Swing by the re-opened hawker centre (after a year-long upgrade — we like the much airier high ceilings!) and get your fluffy and eggy carrot cake fix doused in black soy sauce!

PSA: A little birdie (thanks, Burppler Wei Zhi) told us that Wen Wen Pork Rib Big Prawn Mee has moved back to the same food center at #01-22. Time for a prawn mee hotpot sesh!

Fans of Lay Eng Lor Mee, listen up! Next time you're craving a slurp-worthy bowl, head to 3014 Ubi Rd 1 instead of the old location opposite Zhonghua Secondary School. Take Burppler Hannah Chew's advice to upsize ($4.50), so you get more "crispy golden fried fish".

p.s. Thanks Burppler Zmin for the heads up!
