The Aloo Gobi is superb with just enough spice and balance. The Chicken 65 was too mushy for me, I had expected it to have a little more crunch.

Corny joke, I admit it. On a more serious note, this place sure serves up some mean veg curries. So good! I love the bindi masala and the baigen (eggplant) masala.

If you’re on a hunt for briyani this weekend, take a drive to the newly revamped Fierce Curry House. The Hyderabadi Dum Mutton Briyani (RM22), sporting fragrant basmati rice and ultra-tender mutton cubes, is outstanding. For special occasions, consider the Lobster Briyani (RM280), which Burppler Jackson Sim dubs the 'fiercest of them all'. End your meal on a sweet note with the cold and creamy Pistachio Kulfi (RM10).

Being a wimpy curry eater, I appreciate the curries here aren’t as spicy as more restaurants. The tomato-based chicken masala is slightly sweet, while the cauliflower dish was more peppery than spicy. All you need is a basket full of fresh bread to have with the dishes.

Known for their briyanis, and I’d say one of the best in town. The rice is so simple yet so fragrant, and that mutton is tender with every bite. I especially love the raita given on the side. Not only does it help tone down the heat, the crunchy veggies add a nice texture contrast against the meat.

For this is the fiercest of them all...the lobster biryani. Of sweet, juicy meat melding flawlessly with that inimitable heady mix of spices. Only qualm? You might prematurely get bursts of cardamom in your mouth unknowingly. Ok, that's all.
