PRICE: $6.50 for medium

WAITING TIME: 10 mins on a Monday evening
(They open from 6.30pm)

REMARKS:
- Not very good social distancing here. Very cramped. Not possible to sit 1 metre apart from the table behind and in front of you.
- Noodles portion for medium is really quite sad. Less noodles than what you'll get for a $3 or $3.50 bowl at any coffeeshop.
- Herjiao quality has improved greatly from last time
- Still no match for the previous Songkee, tbh. The only thing that's better is the significantly shorter waiting time.

Yummy handmade fishballs and dumplings! Generous servings and a good mix of the variety of ingredients. Like that they are generous with the meat in the dumpling. They also have a Ngoh Hiang stall at the side where you can order add ons to your noodles.

In picture: Minced Meat Kway Tiao ($4.50), Prawn Cracker and Tofu Skin ($2.30)

Finally here at Song Kee after seeing it on my feed countless of the times for the past half a decade or more πŸ˜… ironically, exercising brings me to places for... food πŸ˜‚

I love that the noodles here soak up every bit of that tantalising sauce base and that the fishballs here are firm, springy without that dreadful fishy taste. The assorted five spices are worth a shout too if deep-fried food is your kind of thing 😬

Love allll their deep fried ingredients! Picked our own platter - the ngoh hiang and fried crab roll were amazing! And they gave a lot of chilli sauce to go along w it as well. Love it! $7.5 for this plate.

Medium bowl for $7. Not just usual bowl of bak chor mee! Love the dumplings and handmade fish balls! While the noods weren’t as smooth in the gravy, I felt that the other quality ingredients more than made up for it! ❀️

PRICE:
$4.50 for Fishball Noodles (S)
$1.50 for prawn cracker
$1.30 for water chestnut cake

REMARKS:
* Can't match the original in taste, but better than average
* Heekiao seems to have improved in taste
* Serving size is pretty small
* Prawn cracker and water chestnut cake were good
