Some handmade fishballs made with 100% yellowtail meat? Served with handmade fish cakes, fried fish skin and fried bean curd, this bowl of premium fishball noodles will definitely make your day.

$4.50 for the original. They also have the premium set going for $6 for the additional fried fish skin, more fish balls and fried bean curd. I really liked the non chill sauce. It’s not just adding tomato sauce alone but a good blend of different sauces. The fishball is also hand made which makes it really special. Stall opens late which makes it an ideal supper place !

This is the premium bowl ($6) #meepok with the works. Love the #crispy fish skin and fried dumpling. The #sambal is just as good but the #fishballs seem a tiny bit smaller and are more chewy than I remember (from Golden Mile days). #fishballstory #geylang

Made a trip down to the shadier districts of Geylang just for this newly-axed Bib Gourmand bowl of fishball noodles. Slathered in chilli oil and lard, the mee pok noodles were qq and bouncy – slightly thinner than other mee pok's out there – and did not harbour an alkaline aftertaste as with many other stalls. This paired well with the crispy, crackly fish skin (which comes only with premium bowls). It's also easy to discern the labour put into the fishballs, which were lovingly handmade with fish paste, scallions and chilli, and unique in their non-factory-like shapes. Overall a satisfactory meal, but I wouldn't come back again if I weren't in the area.
Tip: Do ask for extra x2 vinegar if you are not a fan of overly rich dishes, as the acidity helps to cut through the oiliness of this dish (which will definitely leave you with glossy lips)!

Check out how these award winning noodles are cooked. "Hawkerpreneur" Douglas Ng is now co-towkay of a kopitiam. Happy for him!
Hope this paths the way for other young aspiring Hawkers with passion.

Fishball story this time. Got the premium $6 version with the fried beancurd and fishskin. Hmm I'm not really a fishball noodle lover so I can't really comment. But I found the meal super oily and salty? Guess it will be my first and last trip there. #burpple
