Why not eat this Wolf Fish? 🐺🐟 .

Nope I'm not ribbing you! There is really such a thing as wolf fish and according to Wikipedia, it's also known as Atlantic catfish or ocean catfish #nowyouknow πŸ€“ .

Anyway, when I saw that Fisherios was selling this Beer Battered Wolf Fish ($15), I couldn't resist trying it since I was so intrigued by its name 🀩 As it turns out, the wolf fish tasted pretty much like how any other fish used in a fish & chips dish would taste though it's flesh was a tad firmer and doesn't flake off as easily as say dory fish would.

Overall, a decent plate of fish and chips though it didn't exactly have me howling with delight

Pretty decent fish and chips. The crunch on the crispy batter was pure addictive, yet thin at the same time?? The fries were fried to crisp as well. With it came a bowl of clam chowder and iced beverage. The clam chowder tasted more like can-made than homemadeπŸ˜… The portion was quite filling. To relieve some of the greasiness (not that greasy frankly speaking), malt vinegar was readily within reach:)

Yummy! And price of $7.90 make it even more worth it! πŸ˜‹

Reminds me of the fish & chips during road trips along Great Ocean road in little towns.
Simply a large slab of fish with thick fries, fried to golden brown.
Soak them in malt vinegar for a refreshing tangy taste and send electric down your tongue and spine!
No fishy taste, only a crunchy coat of batter with comforting fries after a Long and hungry day at work.
The batter is really good

Most importantly, it's definitely value for money!!
Fish&Chips set with soda and soup of the day for about $15 only!

Mixed platter ($14.90) which includes a beer battered fish, breaded fish, oysters (or was it mussels tbh I really couldn't tell...) and calamari + chips. This honestly was so worth it and the fish was pretty good too. Everything was fried well, nothing too soggy or bland or whatever. And for $14.90 you also get a soup and drink too I mean, this is pretty worth it πŸ’πŸ»
