Was craving for something spicy and this hit all the right spots. Did not expect to find petai in it but it was a nice surprise.

Semi obsessed with this place right now seeing my new year resolution is trying to eat less meat. We wanted a refreshing side to share and this was it - think your typical rojak with the same sweet and sour flavours. Only thing missing were the crackers on top!

For healthy dinners with the fam, look to this homely restaurant in Damansara Jaya. This two-lot shop features an organic grocer, where you can stock up on pantry goods, alongside the restaurant. The menu features dishes to pair with rice. House-favourites include the Nyonya Curry Rendang (RM18.90), Simmer Sour Mustard Cabbage (RM16.90) and Lion's Mane Mushroom in Portuguese Sauce (RM18.90). Solo diners can order rice or noodles such as Pandan Nasi Lemak (RM11.90) and Nyonya Curry Laksa (RM12.90).

Another great dish. I like this sauce better as it’s not as starchy, also very flavourful. Love the generous amounts of veggies too.

Can’t believe this is RM11.90 considering how big the portion is – but also it’s meatless. Really like the tenth achar and the spicy sambal in this one. The rendang too was great – a mix of potatoes and mushrooms are slicked in a delicious spicy gravy. Rice wasn’t very pandan-y tho, instead reminded me more of kunyit.
