From the Burpple community

Honestly, I came to five guys for the milkshake, decided to have the burger as a side dish.

Strawberry Milkshake @$11. Milky, thick, like sucking ice cream through a straw. But $11 is really expensive la.

The Burger was rather good. but $16.50 for this burger is really excessive. Is this the best burger I had? Maybe not. The beef patties were juicy for sure. With lots of topping varieties to choose from also.

Five Guys

We shared french fries (s) ($8) for five guys style together as don't decieve by the small white cup at fact they have more fries filled inside the brown bag. I felt that their fries quite salty tbh and I do suggested to dip with vingear or tomato for fries to reduce saltness.

Little Bacon Cheeseburger ($15)

I choose lettuce, mustard sauce and shroom for my burger. They told us to add all the toppings inside the burger but later I felt that the burger was full of different taste and flavour from the different toppings. I choose the simplicity for the topping tbh. The bacon got that salty kick complemented with savoury cheeseburger.

Little Cheeseburger ($15)

Friend A choose shroom and A.1. sauce for my burger.

Love how we can select the toppings

If it’s your first time having this, go for their ALL THE WAY toppings that include Mayo, Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes, Grilled Onions, Grilled Mushrooms, Ketchup & Mustard.

So juicy, yummy and SHIOK!

Friday, fryday, gotta get down on Friday, and that’s why we’re at @fiveguyssingapore. I’ve seen so many of my friends from on insta swear that Five Guys fries are the best in Singapore, and I’m starting to see the merits of their arguments.

Made with the finest Dutch potatoes on the day I visited, these French (technically Dutch due to the potatoes used) Fries were an absolute revelation. Each fry is pretty chunky, and it feels a lot like Five Guys made smooth, creamy mashed potatoes, shaped it into a fry, battered it & deep fried it in peanut oil. And good golly it works flawlessly. I suspect Five Guys used Heston Blumenthal’s triple cooking method to produce fries this crisp & fluffy, and the result is that these cajun fries are probably the best fast food fries in the market.⠀

Each fry was evenly coated with that salty, spicy cajun seasoning, and I found myself physically incapable of resisting the urge to shovel every last fry into my voracious maw. The fries taste pretty clean from being deep fried in the peanut oil, which is great as rancid smelling oil is a death sentence for any fried spud. This is the small portion of cajun fries mind you, and it’s about the equivalent of a medium sized portion of fries from most other fast food merchants.⠀

Five Guys may not have the most awe inspiring burger in the game, but they certainly got their French fry game on lock.

I’ve had @fiveguyssingapore before, and felt they came up short of the Shack in the satisfaction department. However, after applying @nusfatclub revolutionary hack of adding a beef frankfurter onto my bacon cheeseburger for an additional two bucks, I’m seriously reconsidering that statement.⠀

The last time I had the bacon cheeseburger ($17), I found it to be a tasty burger, but it didn’t leave me with any desperate cravings for a second helping. This time, however, with the all beef hotdog, oh boy oh boy it was sensational. The strong smokiness of the hotdog fused flawlessly with the smoky bacon rashers, and the smokiness carried over well to the decently juicy & greasy patties. The added smoke & salt turned out to be the missing pieces of the puzzle. The burger itself was seasoned adequately but not amazingly, so it was always lacking that ‘dude this is awesome’ factor.⠀

This time, however, thanks to the additional saltiness, smokiness & greasiness of that brilliant beef frank, the burger finally attained peak burger brilliance. The meatiness of the burger was absolutely off the chain, and each bite was supremely satisfying. It’s salty, greasy, meaty, sinful and absolutely sumptuous. It’s a soul satisfying burger done absolutely right. Add that meaty magnificence to my chosen toppings of lettuce, grilled mushrooms & onions, and sauces of BBQ sauce, mayo & relish, and I had an absolute world beater of a burger.⠀

While I do wish I asked for more relish, this particular burger creation is near perfection. Oh yeah, I’m more than happy to let my wallet get banged by Five Guys any day.
