An Insta-worthy plate of happiness. This gorgeous dessert was created with thick and buttery brioche toasts, a scoop of pistachio ice cream and a medley of complimenting garnishes. Living up to its name, the toasts came with a thin layer of caramelised sugar on top that gave a clear crackle when cutting through to reveal a custard layer. The pistachio ice cream ain't playing second fiddle as well as it was probably one of the best I've ever had. Combining a bit of everything, it was a play in my mouth as I had alternating moments of warm and cold, sweet and sour, and creamy and crunchy. Wow! Just wow! 😍

Mentaiko Royale ($22)
Mentaiko Mac & Cheese ($21.50)

The Mentaiko Royale was a level up to the usual eggs salmon benedict. Nestled on top two slices of English muffins, pieces of pan-seared salmon, avocado, asparagus, free-range poached eggs and ebiko drizzled with mentaiko sauce made this a flavourful and savoury brunch. The poached eggs were wobbly and nicely done, and the crispy salmon skin as a finishing touch gave it an added crunch.

The hearty mac & cheese was filled with chunks of crab meat and prawns; and baked with cheddar and parmesan cheese that gave it a creamy texture. Covered with lightly charred mentaiko sauce and ebiko, every mouthful was packed with rich cheesy and unami goodness. A definite love! 😍

I wasn’t expecting insta-worthy food when I ordered the Corn Fritters ($19) from Five Oars Coffee Roasters😂 The fried sweet corn and halloumi cheese patties go really well with the poached egg, guacamole, cauliflower hummus and tomato salsa - what a delicious burst of flavours! I like the crunch and texture of the corn fritters, and the fact that they are not greasy. It comes with a piece of chicken breast that is very tender as well:) A worthy contender if you are looking for something different from the run-of-the-mill cafe brunch food👍🏻
