We ordered the Five Oars Benny ($18) and Classic French Toast ($18) to have both sweet and savoury options to share. I really enjoyed the classic french toast which came with 2 thick brioche, mixed berries and a side of ice cream - would recommend for those with a sweet tooth! The Five Oars Benny was a tad disappointing - the poached eggs were overdone and weren’t runny enough, and the overall dish was rather dry. I would say I’ve had better eggs ben elsewhere! However, I did enjoy the ice lattes - the coffee here is more on the acidic side though!

really hands down one of the best mac and cheese’s ive ever eaten 🤩 (cheeses?? cheese’s??) this mentaiko mac and cheese ($14) may appear small but it’s so filling! the mentaiko sauce is blended so well with the cheese and the fish roe adds the little crunch factor in this dish.

Rating: 10/10 😬

P.S. The wait time for queues might be a little longer now because they are doing the social distancing thang. Which is good!!

Priced at $25 but very worth it, just look at the quantity. It's comprised of typical breakfast items but still very satisfying. The bacon is the thick-cut kind. The mushroom was amazing, super juicy!

This was very worth every bit of the $20. Even though it might sound jelat, the sticky date wasn't overpowering at all. And there were many textures in the dish (the softness of the pancake, the crunch in the caramelized layer, the nuts and the biscuit, the smoothness of the cream). The vanilla ice cream balances the flavours. Overall it was a very intricate dish, well-plated, and the portion is pretty huge which made it so worth the money!

Second time to Five Oars Coffee Roasters. Realised that they got rid of the Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese from the menu but there was still a decent selection of food.

Ordered the Scrambled eggs with toast and cajun chicken breast. The Scrambled eggs were perfect. In fact, you can just eat the eggs with toast. After all, it came with butter, jam and a roasted tomato. Cajun chicken breast was very very lightly seasoned and it was OK tender for chicken breast.

Coffee's good.

Overall, we waited about 15 kind for a seat at 1.30pm. They are decent but couldn't tell why they are so crowded as there are definitely comparable cafes around. Where's your favourite cafe at? -

Great afternoon lunch on a Saturday with minimalist vibes. Staff was very helpful and food was just as amazing. Ordered the standard Avo & Eggs ($18) which had beetroot in it too! Portion was really great - had to share it. Avocado was chunky and yummy, so is the truffle fries. The Iced Mocha ($6.50) was strong & got me really energised after. Overall, a chill setting and glad we didn’t have to queue for long. Would definitely come back to try their sweets!
