Lemon curd was a bit too gelatinous, felt that it could have been less stiff and more tart. My meal buddy found it sour enough though.

The base was not bad, it wasn’t too soft/soggy! Buttery enough without being overwhelming. Meringue was ok, but I would be fine without it on the lemon tart as well :)

Fries were pretty good! Crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside with a decent truffle fragrance + cheese. Also, it’s rather affordable at $8, and satisfies the fries craving :)

There's always reason to try something new. For me, this is my first time dabao-ing beer in my own container! Made my way down to FlagWhite after hearing about their half-off beer on tap promotion. That is, $6.00 nett for a 12oz cup of beer.

They'd just opened a new keg before the Circuit Breaker measures kicked in place. Of course, I couldn't let it go to waste!?!

The kegs they have in place:
・ Stone & Wood Pacific Ale Pale Ale (4.4%) - Cloudy & golden, big fruit aroma & refreshing finish
・ Parrotdog Bitterbitch IPA (5.8%) - Grapefruit pith, piney dates, herby bitter, malty, pie crust-esque

Brought my own tumblers (meant for protein shakes lmao #fitspo) to dabao some beer home to have with dinner. Ended up getting twice the amount I originally planned for -although I think I was limited by the size of my container, so maybe not exactly twice.. But I'm happy to do my part to support my favourite local cafe.

I think we all know & love FlagWhite for their awesome brunch & coffee. I'd never drank anything alcoholic here before, tbh. But now that I know they have beer on tap... Maybe I should just set up a tent here & call this my new home. (After circuit breaker measures are over.)

Please continue to #loveyourlocalsg during this challenging time. Be responsible while you do so - wear a mask if you can, stay a safe distance away from others, & remember to wash your hands regularly (& moisturize!).

This was a double shot, it was rather smooth and not acidic. A well-rounded coffee with beans from Quarter Life Coffee Roasters, I would definitely get coffee from here again! Not the strongest in terms of the coffee kick, but it satisfies :)

Having lusted over Keong Saik Bakery's Matcha Burnt Cheesecake ($8) for the longest time, my heart leapt when I finally got to try it here.

You've seen the reviews – people go gaga for this silky and creamy confection, infused with just the right amount of bitterness. It may not be the most "BURNT" of burnt cheesecakes you'll come across, but it's no biggie, really.

Let it sit for a few minutes if you prefer a soft and melty texture. Oh, and I hate to be Captain Obvious, but burnt cheesecake pairs magically with thick black coffee. I love it.
