Egg crispy

Felt this was better the the orh luak.

Felt very greased out eating both.

Next time will just order either the orh luak or the carrot cake.

Have been patronising saute since they were at bugis cube.

The standard not as good as last time thou. Buy this is still the go-to dish at saute for my wife.

The chilli taste is good.

Must have dish when u eat at saute

Ordered the bak kut teh dish - Halfway thru my meal, I noticed a small cockroach or weird insect in my dish. The staff only voided this dish from the bill, out of a total of 7 dishes my friends and I ordered. When my friends saw what happened, the mood was ruined and they felt uncomfortable continue eating their meals. Staffs failed to handle the situation well, very very disappointed. Will never return to this restaurant again.

Satay which were made from Lion Mane mushrooms, and it was surprisingly good! Mushrooms were well-seasoned and did not really taste like mushrooms. In fact, I thought the mushrooms had a sufficiently firm texture that resembled meat (and traditional satay).

Peanut sauce was great, although you may want to note that it was on the sweeter side rather than the spicier side.

This dish is considered as an appetizer, and not a main course, and it is hence not applicable for a Burpple Beyond promotion.

For less than $10, this was a pretty generous serving at a restaurant. However, I wasn't used to the taste and texture of vegetarian otah. While the dish managed to replicate the taste of otah somewhat, each piece was filled with what was presumably soy. Each piece was really thick, which contrasts sharply with the traditional otah that we are used to having.

Do note that this item is considered an appetizer, and hence does not qualify for a one-for-one offer under Burpple Beyond.

This is the vegetarian rendition of bak kut teh, although the soup was of the herbal rather than the peppery variety. The soup was done pretty well and aside from the strong herbal flavour, the taste of mushrooms has been infused in the soup.

The dish also contained tofu, carrots, taupok, mushrooms and mock meat. Served with thick vermicelli and youtiao at the side, it was really filling for one person and I think it might be best to share this amongst two!
