Crispy on one side while melting in your mouth other. What more can you ask for a piece of meat?
Charsiew here is a bit different from Hong Kong style charsiew; Singapore style tends to be sweeter. Altogether delicious in a different way.
I come here so often for this fatty goodness it’s not even funny.

This has to be one of the best roasted pork I ever had! Truly legit place with great food! Even the nonya chap chye is wonderfully cooked with great flavour.

Do head down if you wish to satisfy your cravings for roasted pork or char siew!

What a hidden gem in Somerset!

Ordered a few dishes to try. My favourite few are Char Siew, Salted Egg Lotus and their Mee Kia! The restaurant also comes with nostalgic atmosphere that is perfect for a night out with your friends or family! :)

Many would say yes!
✔️Char Siew + Roasted pork platter (L 34++, XL 65++): The marination was unlike others. Coated with sweet caramalised charred, their char siew was addictive. Alas! The proportion of fats in the char siew was a little too much imo. More towards 70-30. 50-50 would be good imo. The crispy pork belly (siew yoke) was nice, but not special like the char siew. L is good for 4 pax.
✔️ Salted egg yolk Lotus (7.9++): First bite when served piping hot, yes I love it. It was crispy n the salted egg yolk was creamy and not jelat. However as time passed, it gets less crunchy.
✔️ Noodles/Fragrant rice (3/1.5++): Pricey imo yet cant do without this at chinese restaurants. Nevertheless, the springy mee kia noodles were decent w some pork bits as complement s to the main dishes. ✔️Brocoli and Mushrooms: I will give this a miss.
Overall: ♥️♥️♥️♥️ I believe my malaysian friends would love this as the taste is close to KL version imo.

Ordered so many things but only got 2pics😭 Super fatty meat so sinful yet so good 🌝 Order the lotus root chips and omelette too!! Not a fan of the duck tho🤪 Huge portions super worth your $$$ and great for group gatherings!!!

The char siew is the bomb! Full of fatty meat that melts in your mouth. Love the crunchy roast meat skin. Noodles were nice topped with glorious pork lard.😍 Kailan was interesting, the lava eggs were well...normal lava eggs, nothing to shout about.
