For those who love fatty Char Siew, you need to try this! Contain 60% fats, perfectly char 😋

In collaboration between the @muttons and @roastparadise from Old Airport Road Hawker Centre (⭐️⭐️⭐️ by @foodkingnoc), @fook.kin is a hipster eatery along Killiney Road that greets customers with pink neon lights 😂. Known for their KL style Char Siew and golden crackling Siew Yoke, their menu also carries a couple of other appetizers and small plates that are great for sharing. Do get their noodles (You Mian/Mee Pok) instead of just rice for a complete wholesome experience!

Featured are their Signature Char Siew Siew Yoke Platter, Roast Duck, Golden Lotus Roots Chips and Triple Happiness. Everything was up to standard, except for their Roast Duck in herbal Dang Gui sauce. The meat wasn’t succulent enough and the diluted sauce also lacked the robust flavours of herbs and spices.

Special mention goes out to their springy noodles tossed in garlic oil, topped with minced meat and fried pork lard. They were perfect complements to the caramelised char siew and crispy siew yoke ☺️!

P.S. Tossed in salted egg sauce, their crispy lotus roots chips were sooo addictive sia.

Feature signature dish Roast Pork and char siew.
The char siew was tasty, tender with the right amount fat. I don’t like when it’s too fatty.
The roast pork was crispy and juicy.
pair with fragrance rice or plain mee kia.
Thank you @eatwithroy for jio me 😊

Was expecting more since the chef is Roast Paradise’s chef. However, a bit disappointing as i set my expectation too high, The crispiness of the pork was soaked with the noodle soup. Lotus chips was good.

Got the small platter which consists of Char Siew and pork belly together with the noodle and lava egg.

Gotta say my favourite was the crispy pork belly with the mesmerising crunch and the highlight was definitely the mustard sauce which goes so well with it. So so good!! (U can ask for extra mustard sauce for free cuz trust me, it’s very addictive😉)

The char siew was good as well, was tender and sweet but i would eat it on its own instead of the additional sauce given as it got overwhelmingly sweet and jelak. Also, the char siew seem to taste better at the Roast Paradise outlet but still it’s good here.

The noodle was springy and had a good flavour to it with the chili and I had it with the lava egg. Had minced meat and the pork lard definitely gave the crunch and the xtra oomph

This consist of cold silky smooth tofu, ikura, century egg, and pork floss. This dish kind of balances out the meat platter I ate with and the tofu was really smooth. Everything mixes really well and the sauce was just right, not too salty.
