From Fu Chun Laksa Lor Mee
Joined the queue with mixture of regular customers, Laksa and Lor Mee fans, indeed a class of its own, handcrafted noodles in thick savoury sauce.
Look at that amount of ingredients, well worth the price.

Long queues at hawker centres are never a pleasant experience (think hot weather and dozen of humans excuse me-ing you with their tray of food). For those who dread queuing for Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee at Old Airport Road, go try this stall near Eunos MRT. Way shorter queue and yummy bowl! The gravy is v flavourful on its own, so go easy on the chilli paste as it might be a lil salty for the taste bud. Wrack the chilli padi if you want the heat for your noodles 🔥

The lor mee comes with ample amount of shredded meat, big chunks of fried fish, fried meatballs and half of a braised egg for just $3. You can put the condiments by yourself.

The soup is pretty thick and not so starchy. The fried fish is crispy and the inside is tender. Overall, it’s a pretty good bowl of lor mee and it’s really worth it for $3.

Verdict: 3.5/5

P.S. : I was one of the last few customers for the day and the laksa was sold out at 13:00. The stall is closed every Monday and Tuesday.

There's always a perpetual queue at this popular lor mee stall near Eunos MRT, but it's still shorter than Xin Mei Xiang, and my preference is for this stall's version over the latter's.

The magic is in the thick but not starchy braising sauce that already has the perfect balance of sweet, salty and sour without the need for additional vinegar, but that condiment, along with minced garlic, cut chilli, coriander and a sourish sambal is provided for you to add to your own taste.

For its price, there's an ample amount of ingredients, including thin slices of five spice seasoned pork belly, two crispy pork nuggets, half a braised egg, and what I deem a cut above the rather boring fish flakes used by their more famous counterparts - two golden fried fish fritters that were crispy yet moist and tender, with ample flaky fish within.

My noodles are submerged in the rich gravy and it comes with meat ball, halved egg and deep fried fish coated with flour which is crispy on the outside and tender inside. This definitely added some crunch to the rich and starchy gravy. Chilli, coriander leaves, garlic and vinegar are placed outside for us to add how much we wanted 》$3

Their laksa were gone by lunch time when i’m there and the queue to this lor mee stall gets really long during the lunch hour. They usually closes by 3pm of when the lor mee sold out.

*Closed on Monday & Tuesday

One of my fav local food in SG! They have lots of fried fish nuggets and meatballs! U can add the garlic, chill and parsley by yourself and the chill sauce is very good! There is usually a queue and they are closed on Monday& Tuesday!
