Fuelling up for the weekend at @fuelplussg ✌🏻

Our fave dish is definitely the Chicken Overload, which is always well executed - chicken cutlet was crispy outside and moist inside; mash potato was dressed in a creamy truffle mushroom sauce that is thick and flavourful but not jelak; and the dish was finished with a sous vide egg and crispy lotus chips [$16].

It is a pity that they are no longer on Burpple Beyond, but the food and coffee are definitely worth paying the full price for!

Truffle taste wasn’t the most distinct! But overall still a very nice dish

Crunchy Rosti with generous load of pulled pork and an egg.

The beef mac & cheese was made with penne pasta and baked with three cheeses, beef, tomato sauce and zucchini. It was creamy with a crispy layer and packed full of flavour. Absolutely delicious and a total comfort food.

Taking advantage of Fuel Plus+’s ongoing Happy Hour deal that starts daily from 4pm, I got to enjoy one for one mains/pasta when I ordered 2 drinks by simply liking and showing their Facebook post.

Greeted with a generous slab of salmon, I would highly recommend their Miso Cream Salmon ($19). Perfectly seasoned, the salmon fillet paired surprisingly well with the creamy miso-based broth which gave the dish a really pleasant umami quality. With a slightly browned crisp skin, the protein was not overcooked at all, retaining its flaky and tender flesh. The bed of mash was also flavourful and the addition of the cherry tomatoes provided a lovely burst of sweetness.

Featuring a whole chicken leg in rich tomato-based sauce stewed with carrots, baby potatoes, and Brussels sprouts; their Baked Chicken Stew ($18) makes for a great rainy day comfort food. The meat was supple and fork-tender. The vegetables too were soft and soaked up the tanginess of the tomatoes. Good for sharing or those with a hearty appetite, the portion is also pretty substantial especially when coupled with the toast served alongside.
