Perfect for rainy afternoons, their Nutella Hot Chocolate ($6) was simply delish. My first time having the concoction, it seems to have taken the hot chocolate game to the next level for me due to the added fragrance of hazelnut. Smooth, steamy, and nutty, it was not thick or milky - did not feel like I downed a drinkable spread or chocolate milk so it is definitely a drink I see myself ordering again to warm up my belly.

My new favourite way of eating cauliflower and broccoli, Fuel X’s Mentaiko Bro-Cauli Nuggets ($11) was just packed with flavour. Lightly breaded, the exterior of the golden-brown florets was crisp perfection - a great contrast to the tender insides. Sinful for sure and perhaps pushing things if you were to call it a healthier alternative to traditional nuggets, the creamy mentaiko sauce really leveled up the dish and gave the nuggets a savoury boost. Best eaten while hot, it was not overly greasy and the thin batter was well-seasoned too.

Keeping some of @fuelplussg’s bestsellers, their newest outlet at Tai Thong Crescent, @fuelxsg carries a pretty extensive menu - serving all-day brunch, coffee, mains, burgers, and dessert.

For sweets, we got their Pump It Up Hotcake ($18) to share which reminded me a little of the fluffy fragrant pancakes at the good old golden arches. Despite looking thick and chunky, the banana hotcake was surprisingly moist and not too dense. Smothered with syrup (in a good way), the warm hotcake was also served with strawberries, nuts, and a scoop of ice cream. The berries offering a sweet-tartness while the bits of nuts added a nice crunch. As for the scoop of ice cream, we chose earl grey ice which really complemented the elements with a light uplifting scent of bergamot. Overall, it didn’t feel cloying but the flavour of the banana was certainly lacking.

A fusion of western and thai flavours. Definitely gives a kick to the tender chicken leg. I actually would prefer if the mash potatoes were sweet potato instead.

This nacho loaded with pulled pork was a great appetiser. It took some great control not to order a 2nd portion before the mains came.

Double espresso with chilled milk - that's what dirty is! & I guess the name stems from the muddy look it comes with.

This caffeinated drink does stand out with a name, but taste wise, probably just a stronger coffee option. It's served as it is, without ice, which then warms up quite quickly as it sits at room temp, making it a lil difficult to drink.

Nonetheless, it's definitely enjoyable with its double shot!
