Momofuku’s fried chicken chain opens at Wall Street last night, and it got me all excited the moment @talk19 shared the news with me. I rushed down as soon as I could after my meeting, which happened to be at the NY Fed at Wall Street.

The chicken was ultra crispy, mildly spiced by habanero which I liked better than the typical red chilli spices. It might be called "spicy chicken" but it was nothing near spicy, though I've no complaints. I also liked the potato buns it came with, which was also pillowy soft.. They were slathered with ranch dressing before layering generously with crispy bacon. The interior of the patty could be juicer, but I feel that this is already a darn good fast food burger.

I actually felt like having a second one now. I could walk down now since it's so near, but they are already closed.. Their opening hours are tight: 5pm to 9pm, weekdays only. Clearly only for the after-work office crowd.
