Cheese Ramen. $12. Add $3 for side dish and drink. But nothing special about the flavour, just a typical miso ramen taste. Original flavour is just $10, considered cheap for this area. No gst no service charge too.

Finally a ramen restaurant in Singapore that provided private dining table corner, in case you prefer to have some me time here.

Came during the dinner time and the place was very quiet with only a few diners inside.

I got the signature ramen topped with parmesan and cheddar, pitting even richer flavour to the soup.

For $15, you can get the set comes with a side dish and drink.

Wanted to visit Gangsta Ramen for quite some time now and eatigo 30% + $5 Eatigo voucher finally motivated us enough to give this a try!

Getting to this place was quite a feat as Google maps pointed us to the side entrance of the complex when we could have entered from the front... After arriving, the place was very empty 😲 okay fair enough, it's a Saturday afternoon so probably that's normal since it's a CBD area.

We couldn't find anyone upon entering and only after a few repeated hellos did a middle aged server came out to greet us. She honored the Eatigo deal without questions and proceeded to explain what is included in the discount. After we made our order, we have to make payment first, which comes up to ~$18.

We ordered the Spicy Ramen ($12), Cheese Ramen ($12), Torikatsu ($2.50), Smoked Duck ($2.50) and 2x Hot Green Tea ($1.50 each). Only the drinks were excluded from the discount.

The good:
✔ Springy Ramen
✔ Soft and Melty Char Siew
✔ Torikatsu was SO GOOD - Crispy outside moist inside

The not-so-good:
❌ Broth was on the lighter side, quite forgettable
❌ Spicy paste has a very gamey/porky smell which I found quite unpleasant
❌ No seaweed & also not in menu even as an add on

Overall: probably would not visit again as it's quite a normal bowl of noodles (I wouldn't really call it Ramen since the broth is really not up to standard). But if you're there, please give the Torikatsu a go. It's only $2.50 and it's soooooo good ☑

The only thing that brought me here was the booth dining, for the sake of reliving my Ichiran experience back in Japan. Sadly the ramen here was nothing to shout about with the broth being rather one-dimensional. Also didn't expect the cheese ramen to come with literally a slice of cheddar cheese.

The spicy ramen ($12) adds a local twist! A dollop of chilli is added to the tonkotsu broth. I found it a little too spicy, but the others really loved the added flavour of dried shrimp!

Gangsta Ramen is famous for its individual dining booths, but they are perhaps under-utilised - most diners came in groups on a Friday evening, and had to wait for limited seating! They were also severely short staffed with just one chef and one server, resulting in quite a long wait. The miso ramen ($12) was nothing out of the ordinary with a thick pork-based broth. The noodles had a good bite but meat was a little tough! We came with a chope voucher and had the gyoza and chicken cutlet as sides!
