Yes the sauce was headily thick and the pork ham and bacon was perfectly cured, but I'm just going to call this mac and cheese because that's how uninspired I was by the flavours.

Maybe my words are betraying my uncultured palate again but I would much rather appreciate a traditional dry carbonara with fresh and authentic ingredients than this insipid dish. 😭

When they first set the plate on the table, I was put off by the atrocious plating. Thankfully, I was proved wrong when I had my first spoon of the earthy and nutty sauce -- it was simply divine! If the just a morsel of sauce was enough to stun me, imagine my surprise when I bit into the veal ravioli and was greeted with a burst of meaty flavour.

Look at that display of colours. Almost a perfect replica of the Italian flag 😂 Jokes aside, this was such a simple dish but there's a reason why basil, cheese, and tomato have been such a classic threesome through the centuries. I must give a particular shoutout to the San Marzano tomatoes, which surprised me with a natural sweetness that forever changed the way I look at tomatoes :')

The pasta here is surprisingly filling and tasty. One of the best pasta I ate period.

Indulgent day!
3 course set lunch. They change the menu every month?

Started off with bread sticks and fresh vakes. The bread was so good. So so good. Eat it on the spot!

Appetizer - tart was so good. The partner got mozzarella cheese +$10 (imo... was so so).

Mains - not much of a selection but I got the broccoli pasta. Perfectly al dente but still not my favourite. Partner got the barrumundi - skin was crisp to perfection *crunch crunch crunch*. The barrumundi had a very balanced flavour. It was a winner. Surprising as their mains are usually more focused on pasta.

Dessert of the day. The trio was so good we enjoyed ourselves from cake 1 to cake 3.

Lovely day!
