Went with the signature that was a galette stuffed with ham, gruyere, cheddar and an egg in the center. There's a saying "You eat with your eyes". It may looked a bit burnt and thin, but it was far from it. The outer layer was crisp while its inside maintained moist; and it was bigger and more hearty than the usual crepes. Not to mention that it was made with buckwheat flour and dusted with paprika powder for an added strong flavour. To complete my brunch, I had a latte to pair with it which was fragrant and full-bodied.

Was also happy to see Ronin’s French toast on the menu! Can’t quite put my finger on what’s different BUT I think this is still one of the best French toast. Still fluffy, eggy, with the delightful pairing with hazelnut butter, bacon and sweet braised apple.

A classic pairing of ham and cheese, this Off The Bone galette was pretty darn good! Crisp on the sides and we loved the combination of the gruyere/ cheddar, slightly salty ham & oozy yolk, dusted with paprika. While enjoyable, it’s not filling at all so yep a tad on the pricey side. Pair it with a good cuppa and you’ve got yourself a good tea break!

Enjoyed the crepes @Gather Cafe, Raffles Hotel. A bit pricey $14 for Plain crepe but worth it!

Quite a few people I know have a fetish for the “Dirty Ronin”, a sandwich that has outlasted the cafe it was created at. And why not? Every aspect of it is faultless - the bread (a slightly thicker looking but still very light thing nowadays) is toasted to a crunch, the ratio of the savoury, spicy chorizo to cheese, soft-boiled egg, avocado, crisp lettuce, miso and mayo - exacting.
From the first bite, eyelids flutter and a sense of satisfaction spreads through the body. This pleasurable sensation doesn’t abate until the “Dirty Ronin” is but a memory and perhaps, a few crumbs to dust off.

Crepe is soft but nothing out of the world. The place is very noisy due to poor noise absorbing.
