One of those reliable la mian stalls nearby. First review but certainly not my first try. Huge soup given I know but don't count on it - I was rejected once.

Braised pork belly with preserved vegetable, minced meat, scrambled egg. The minced meat was on the salty side, but it's expected. The rest were flawless.

Laksa broth is thick and not too oily/spicy. Requested for no hum and was given an egg for replacement! Shiokness level 8/10.

Pretty good aglio olio. Not too spicy and not too oily.

Had the 鸡丝河粉 ($3.50)(shredded chicken horfan) with wantons added to it for $1 and it was delicious! The noodles are silky soft and they put a generous amount of shredded chicken in their noodles. I particularly like the sauce, which is slightly herbal and sweet because of the goji berries it’s cooked with. The crunchy fried wantons also add a nice textural contrast to the noodles. Really liked this!

This stall is called 妹妹怡保河粉 (Ipoh Hor Fan), at the coffee shop of Blk 153, Serangoon North Ave 1. This coffee shop is also known for the popular Heng Ji prawn noodles. For your reference, it’s opposite a FairPrice.

Stall has been around for many years and the wok looks like it hasn't been cleaned since forever. But that might be the secret for the yummy charred carrot cake.
