I wasn't a fan of this. Yes the meat was tender, but each meat wasn't marinated strongly on its own. There's no crisp at all either, and everything was just blanketed in a dark sauce. The dark sauce is all you taste, and it's a dark sauce that I've had a few times before, it's not something that's totally unique to them

A lot of people still love it, incl my mum who said the whole roasted duck is very good. Maybe someone else can come here and try, I definitely won't queue next time

One of the more famous roast meat stalls around, Jiu Jiang Shao la's roasts may be leaner, but they do pack with flavour.

Their char siew pieces were roasted well though a little tough due to the cut of pork they use. Nonetheless, paired with their sweet savoury sauce, this still hits the spot.

The roast pork was okay, with the skin just slight crispy.

Their roast duck is the best among the 3, as they were tender and very flavourful. Definitely can taste the different herbs and spices used!

I love my char siew extremely charred. What about you? Loving the balance of fat vs lean meat here - it’s extremely juicy; the chao-tah factor is on point.

😐 Better if you go in a big group and order 1/2 a roast duck. Auntie wasnt willing to sell duck leg rice (even tho they have several legs left) which was $5.30 instead of the $3 duck rice. Instead she sold us 2 plates of duck rice at $4 saying the meat is cut off from the duck leg, and yet we still see a portion of duck leg left over after they have cut.
I guess they get higher revenue this way, but it leaves the customers unhappy 😐

Roast Duck Breast + Char Siew Rice, $5. They are very popular with their roast duck and usually fully sold out just past lunch about 2pm. Snaking long patient q formed in front of the stall while the old Uncle chopped the meat nicely! It’s quite special at this stall, you get to help yourself by pouring in your own amount of black gravy and chilli sauce on the plate after you have paid for your order. Roast duck is indeed superb, fragrant, tender and not hard even though I order breast! Char siew is a little denser and well charred, not very fatty like some. For Chilli lovers like us, we love their fragrant chilli that goes well with everything! Black gravy is good and not sweet for our liking! This is one of the many yummy stalls in Ghim Moh Food Centre, you get spoilt for choices! .

I was totally amazed by the roasted duck. You could actually taste the crispness of the duck skin from the outside but surprisingly duck meat is so so so tender and juicy!

Reasonable price starting from S$3.00 for this sinful yet heavenly roasted delight.
