Now you don't need to travel all the way to Tanjong Pagar to join in the neverending queue to satisfy your tendon craving.

Tendon is often regarded as delightful one-bowl soul food to the Japanese where the fried ingredients topped on rice is filled to the brim. The ingredients here are fried to order, ensuring that everyone get to enjoy a hot and fresh bowl of Tendon. The batter on the fried ingredients are light and crunchy, and the seafood are really fresh and satisfying.

They mainly serve 3 types of Tendon, and are all priced reasonably. All Tendon sets comes with Chawanmushi & Miso soup.

Special Tendon ($13.90) - comes with Chicken 2pcs, Prawn 2pcs, Vegetables 4pcs & Half-Boiled Egg.

Vegetable Tendon ($12.90) - comes with Pumpkin, Shiitake Mushroom, Lotus Root, Eggplant & Other Vegetables 4pcs.

Deluxe Tendon ($19.90) - comes with Snow Crab, Prawn, Conger, Squid, Vegetables 4pcs & Half-Boiled Egg.

You can also find the Keisuke Special Cola on the drinks menu here at $3 each bottle. They have the Green Tea Cola, Sakura Cola and the Wasabi Ginger Ale.

Thanks @singaporefoodlisting for the invitation and @payalebarsquare for having us!

This is one satisfying meal. I felt that the size and amount of meat is just nice. The prawn and chicken is really good. However, I felt that the snow crab is rather underwhelming.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself and will come back. Price is rather affordable at 20 bucks.

Oh don’t you worry about feeling hungry after the meal! All their tempura dons come with a charamushi and miso soup, along with the usual free flow pickled vegetables. Fullness guaranteed 👌🏼

Decided to try the Deluxe Tendon since it’s exclusive to this outlet. In addition to the usual oozy egg, prawn and chicken, it also comes with snow crab, squid and conger eel (we thought this was a smaller unagi fillet as it still has that familiar brackish taste).

Would probably stick to the Special Tendon next time, although the chicken pieces seem thinner (and are thus less juicy) than I remember.

While I personally prefer the overall experience (food and service wise) at the original outlet, I like not having to wait in line for almost an hour more. Hopefully it’s just teething issues.
