Back at my favourite tendon restaurant and their Special Mix Tendon bowl ($14.90) once again made both my heart and stomach happy!

There was a variety of ingredients, from prawn to chicken breast to an assortment of vegetables. All of them were well fried, as the batter wasn't too thick and it didn't taste too oily. The fried egg was gooey and was perfect with rice and some shoyu sauce 😍

My favourite tempura pieces got to be the prawn tempura, as it was huge and succulent within 😍

Do take note that there is a queue almost all the time! Do expect about at least 30 minutes wait during peak hours 😂

Not my 1st time and it won’t be my last either! Anytime is a good time for this seafood tendon bowl with a dash of spice. So fresh and the crisp is just right. The variety of seafood choices were amazing - salmon, prawns, fish, squid … yummy!

Good as always, tempura prawn is good and the pieces of fish are substantial and fresh.

Generous portions at this price point with the special mix including 2 chicken breast, 2 prawns, long beans, eggplant, mushroom, and onsen egg. Lightly battered, the tendon stands out in being crispy yet not too greasy or fried with the natural flavours of the ingredients coming through. All were fresh, especially the juicy prawns. The chicken breast was thinly pounded for a larger crisp ratio but did wish for juicier meat.

After years of passing by and seeing a queue, finally gave them a try. Overall, a good-value and authentic tendon bowl that met expectations but didn’t wow. The tendon could do with slightly more crisp and flavour (definitely recommend asking for chilli for extra spicy kick and perhaps extra sauce would do the trick). Do eat the bowl warm and fast as it gets soggy pretty fast as well. Bonus points to the free side of smooth chawanmushi, miso soup, and refreshing salad served with each bowl.

I've always loved Japanese food and that includes the crispy savoury deliciousness of tempura. The last time I've had proper tempura was at Tendon Kohaku and having constantly walked by Ginza Tendon Itsuki by the famed Keisuke brand, I was definitely down for more Tendon.

Going for their Special Mix option, Ginza's Tendon bowl was filled to the brim with tempura prawns, succulent chicken breasts, a mix of vegetables including a piece of shiitake and to top it all of - an onsen egg. What more can I say, this was a hella good bowl of Tendon. Not to mention the dainty complimentary chawanmushi appetizer it came with.

Definitely a good bang for your buck and Keisuke surely impresses again.

Queued 1 hour for this, and it's worth the wait. We got the Seafood Tendon ($17.90) which had very fresh seafood ingredients like white fish, salmon, prawns and scallop. All of them were very well fried as the batter isn't too soggy. The portion is huge as well! The sides are not to be missed, as the mini chawamushi given was actually one of the best ones I've had so far. Will visit again!
