Half Chicken ($16)
So it has been a while since I visited Go-Ang Pratunam’s shop in Bangkok that boasts snaking queues. Thankfully, a branch has opened up at the basement of Vivocity. We promptly ordered half a chicken and a soup. The chicken was surprisingly tender and silky smooth. However some parts were leaning towards the drier side. We were also rather perplexed as to the amount of pieces of meat that resembled chicken breast. There seemed to be too many pieces of breast meat as compared with the thigh meat.

A salty but not spicy dish, this plate is full of stem and lesser leafy kang Kong... If you like those big huge stem kang Kong and you don't mind spicy can try.

But I'm a chilli person, so this wasn't good enough for me.

This is really not bad, they use the prince noodle type where you can feel each individual noodle itself and not stick together.

The soup base uses the chicken rice soup.. Taste just right, of course towards salty side.. This is something I want to go for here.

Bangkok style of chicken liver, got to say for the portion is consider reasonable.. Thus does not go wrong as you dip it into their sauce.

Overpriced Bangkok style chicken rice, nothing much to describe but just too expensive for the taste..

Some coffee shop can do better than this

@goangsg from BKK actually offered pretty good chicken rice worthy of its Michelin Bib Gourmand awards.
The chicken and rice were both tasty like many good chicken rice we have locally, but their Thai style chilli sauce was what set them apart of others. They do have noodle alternative too.
But a meal here should not stop with just their chicken rice. And their Thai steamed fish would be a must-try, with that kick-ass sour and spicy sauce on a fresh sea bass that we had.
In addition, we had their Chai Po omelette, braised pork belly and curry Chap Chye which were also delicious and completed our satisfying meal. We just loved the various sauces that came with different dishes.
No doubt we do have good chicken rice places of our own, but this is also one good chicken rice worthy of mention. Located at 5 malls around the island, it will be one stop for a good and sumptuous Thai style chicken rice meal.
