This is personally one of my favourite Japanese place because it serves amazing iberico pork at affordable prices. The slightly more expensive cuts are worth it because they melt in your mouth and have a nice grilled flavour. It comes with an onsen egg and a variety of sauces to choose from so that you can add extra flavours according to your taste preferences!

This unagi is from Unaemon, one of the six Japanese concepts housed in Gochi Church Street Japan Kitchen which opens today at Capital Square. More highlights of #GochiSG on our stories!

Soft, melt-in-your mouth pork collar. My only wish is to get more pieces of meat. 50% of second order on Saturday.

Paid $16.90 for this plus $6 for 2 green tea and a cold appetiser (kimchi pork)
The tonkatsu was 10/10. The fried batter was thin and crispy, the meat was soft with a good amount of fat. I have to say its better than tonkichi or tampopo tonkatsu. However curry was not peppery enough but still tasted great.

They opened a new branch at Jewel so do check it out if A&W or Shake shack queue gets to crazy.

- pork belly don: the pork is nicely coated with a charcoal smell and taste. But cannot really taste the tenderness of the special iberico Pork. Having said that, this dish is delicious as a normal pork belly don. Yummy!!
- Shabu Shabu: Im a shabu shabu lover! Really love that they have a generous portion of veggie ( got two pieces of corn!! 😋😋🐷) and meat. Their meat is mixed collar, belly and leaner meat option. Really recommended!

($10.80) Well-marinated pork collar on rice, especially when well mixed with the onsen egg and seaweed. They provide a good range of sauces to change up the flavour of the bowl as there is only a small amount of the base sauce.
