Top Left: Mochi Mochi Cranberry 8.5/10
$2.20 each
Nice nice ! $2.20 and it is quite big too. Definitely worth giving it the title of being the Top5 bestselling bread.

Top Right: Mochi Mochi Cheese 9/10
$2.70 each
Ooo I love this though my Dad said it tasted plain.
The bread was really huge. $2.70 for breakfast + teabreak. Really worth it.
The bread itself was also quite addictive imo. Something about it that I cant describe that made the taste of the bread really interesting. Maybe it is the hint of sourness from the cheese. Hmmm
Anyhow, this is one I would definitely buy again.
I was actually hesitant to grab the mochi mochi cheese as it didn’t look very appetising. Eventually convinced myself that I should give it a try since it was the top5 bestselling bread. Definitely did not disappoint. Also turned out to be the winner of the 3/4 bread I tried! 🎉🎉

Bottom left: Jikasei Matcha Cream Pan 7.5/10
$2.20 each
Extremely generous with its matcha filling.
Filling also tasted a little eggy.
Enjoyed this and it was quite addictive. But oddly, this is not something I would crave for. Probably because it was not very matcha-ish and was rather more egg-ish.
Would still recommend to try at least once as I still feel it was rather good actually.

Bottom Right: Gokoku Shinchifuku Pan
$2.30 each
Didn’t get to try this

Visited Gokoku again, but this time at Jurong Point outlet! Making it a point to try out a different bread each time on my visit!

This time round, I tried the Matcha Langue De Chat ($2), which is like a coffee bun, but without the butter in the middle! The exterior was covered in sweet crispy matcha cookie crust wih white chocolate chips, and with a fluffy airy bread in the middle!

Best to eat it warmed!

Tip: They offer 10 cents discount if you do not take their plastic bag! (haha I did not know about this and my reflex action was too slow to read the sign when I already said yes to plastic bag oppsie! To note for my future trips!)

The shio pan kinda tastes like a croissant, except a non-flaky one. It has a very buttery, almost pastry-like taste to it.

The amount of peanut butter inside is ehhhhh. Could be better. Though that could also just be my fat ass talking. I'm used to being spoiled by breads that are stuffed to the brim with filling ok, so the amount of pb in here wasnt all that satisfactory for the price but whateverrr I accept it. The pb is really sweet, probably the sweetest pb I've ever had! It's soft and the peanut taste isn't super strong cuz of the sweetness but it's still soso delicious.

This was a super solid bread, definitely doesn't taste healthy cuz of the butteriness and the sweetness but hey, life is all about enjoying what you eat and I enjoyed this so if you're a peanut butter and cow butter lover, give this a try and I'll manifest a well-stuffed shio pan for you 😇

The first bake I've tried from Gokoku! Honestly I'm not the biggest fan of scones because I find them a bit bland but I really wanted to try this out. I was surprised at how fragrant it was. I microwaved it and when I opened the microwave, I was instantly hit with a lovely earl grey smell.

The scone was slightly sweet, buttery and had a nice light earl grey taste to it. I haven't had many scones in my life but I definitely liked this. I'd say that scones in general are really dense and a bit dry which some people may not like but they've grown on me quite a bit. Really loved the aroma of this scone! If you're a scone and / or earl grey lover, definitely check it out!

This bread is really fragrant and soft! The texture is indeed nice and chewy. Though tbh I find the name "mochi mochi" slightly misleading cuz it wasn't suuuper chewy or mochi-like. I'd recommend toasting this before eating cuz the crust becomes crispy while the bread retains its softness!

There arent a lot of cheese cubes inside sadly, but the cheese does give it a nice savoury taste. Nothing really exceptional about the cheese. I think the star of this bread is the bread itself because they nailed that texture and taste.

A bit ex imo, especially since there aren't that many cheese cubes inside, but definitely has a premium taste and that bread is sososo good! Would recommend trying just for that experience of having a good ass loaf of white bread.

Tried the earl grey scone wayyy back and loved it so I decided to try this one! Tastes like a scone basically, but a chocolatey one. This scone is really dense and the texture is kinda like having a super super dense soft yet firm cookie. It's nowhere as fragrant as the earl grey scone but it's still pretty good on its own!
