Chimney Tiramisu - $7.50
·
This chimney tiramisu is slightly different from other flavours, instead of ice cream, it’s replaced with sweet tiramisu cream that’s filled to the brim. Lady fingers that’s dipped in coffee, with home-made tiramisu espuma hidden in the middle. I still prefer those chimney bread with ice cream in it actually

This is quite a filling dessert best to share with bestie or skip a meal! We had the devil and pistachio. Both were good. Would love to try other flavors next time!

The less sinful option among the rest. Froyo was pretty light & I like the coconut sprinkles on the bread :) Overall wasn’t too sweet! Would try pistachio the next time :)

As much as I was sad over the exit of Ben & Jerry’s from VivoCity, that feeling transited quickly into curiosity of this new shop that sold ice cream in something. Was that a cone? A churros? A croissant?

Chimney cakes originated from Hungary, and the base was actually baked dough that had some similarities to a chewy bread but made to a “cone”. As for this Chimney Devil (S$7.50), the cone was filled with activated carbon frozen yoghurt and decorated with a dark chocolate coin and a pair of horns made of red fondant. The soft-serve itself was refreshing and not too sweet, but had a frosty texture. The cone was also coated with desiccated coconut, on top of its slightly savoury taste. As a result, the overall feel of this was item was like an afternoon snack to go with a stunning harbourfront view.

S$7.50 for this item might not be the most wallet-friendly deal, but an occasional indulgence like this was not anywhere close to a waste of money actually.

A lighter option on the menu with charcoal frozen yoghurt in a coconut crusted chimney cone. I love that the yoghurt wasn’t too sweet and we could actually taste some tartness. The charcoal added some grittiness to the froyo that I personally enjoyed. The chimney cone pastry was better than I thought, it was sort of like a less buttery and flaky croissant, but that’s not a good description of it. I liked that it wasn’t too oily or sweet, and the coconut flakes added a nice aroma to the pastry. There’s a thick piece of dark chocolate below to catch the melted yoghurt and prevent it from soaking into the pastry, so it doesn’t get too messy. Overall I enjoyed this quite a lot, and would likely visit Good Food again, maybe to try the other chimney cake combinations!

Chimney devil (~$7.50) was a dessert that could be eaten by one or two cos it wasn’t too big! 😛 It was filled with Charcoal froyo in a chimney cake! 🍦🍰
.
Charcoal froyo was not too sour and you could REALLY feel the texture of the charcoal in the froyo, and I personally liked it! There were chocolate and icing ‘horns’ to add the sweetness to the froyo in case it was too sour! 🍫
.
Chimney cake was covered in coconut on the outside which added so much!! Texture!! And I really liked it :-) 🥥 The cake also had such a unique charred/ burnt taste to it! Personally really liked that but I know some people don’t 😂 Inside of chimney part of the cake was covered in chocolate and I thought it complemented the burnt taste really well!
