Interesting sauce with everything they have to offer in the menu.

As much as I like Chinese buns and Durian, I don't think I am in love nor hate this one. The fillings felt relatively similar to Durian Paste, though I am not a fan of the sticky and dense consistency the filling was. The bun itself was fluffy, though not really memorable in any way.

($3.50) The above has been on my to go to hawker food as of late- sadly the above was one of the disappointing ones.
Other than the plus point of 菜头s (what I call the white kueh like portions) being drenched and fried in a generous amount of egg; the peculiar after taste of the chunky 菜头s and the lacklustre flavors made this plate barely passable for carrot cake

Chicken rice for three with vegetables and innards for $23. Beef soup for $5.50. Yums! #tingzieeats #burpple

Sadden by how the price of a Popiah (one of my favorite local delights) has been gradually escalating? 2.50 per roll when I remember paying a dollar odd when I was younger.
These were standard hawker Popiah with an absence of any protein (i.e. Shrimp) but laden with a certain crunchy fried goodness. The sweet sauce and chilli justified the otherwise banal Popiah skin.
The Kueh Pie Tee worked up to be 70cents each greasy pop, I liked the chilli sauce used that had a sweet aftertaste- and loved the fact you can help yourself to more at the counter 😛
