Saw a few posts about this on Burpple so decided to pay a visit.
Not many places in Singapore that sell mala hotpot solely for vegetarian unlike this place. Even without the real meat, I could say the taste still as good as those famous one.
This is seriously one solid bowl of 麻辣香锅, better than so many famous shops out there. Can’t believe it can be so fragrant and tasty without a single garlic or meat jus (yes, this is vegetarian mala!) The maggie mie is a bit thin & soft to my liking but the rest of the ingredients make up for it. Mock meats are surprisingly good as well. If only they open a stall closer to my house- this will be a staple!
Finally tried the popular milk tea here but we weren’t a big fan. It’s a little pricey for its portion (had lots of ice) and while the tea notes were pretty distinct, it was a bit diluted and the pearls were unfortunately quite bland.
heard that this place serves really good, if not the best mala in singapore and i can see why! the mala was really fragrant and tasty, yet not oily, and the sauce coated all the ingredients evenly. we got xiao la which was (personally) not spicy at all, but nonetheless tasty and full of flavour. there was a wide variety of ingredients and all were fresh.
one con is that at $3/100g, it can get a little pricey if you’re a big eater (we spent about $34 for two 😢)
8.5/10 🌟
So refreshing to go with the mlxg! Waited for the ice to melt a little and the sweetness became just nice.
Crunchy mushrooms coated with butter cream! They used curry leaves and chilli padi in here which added to the fragrance and heat. Would have liked the sauce less sweet.
