Had oysters craving, so got a few to try, namely Mary point, fine de Claire no. 3, Gillardeau no. 3, Ostra Regal, Sentinelles speciale. It was fun exploring the different flavor profiles of the oysters. The two standout ones for me were the Mary point, plump in size, super creamy and milky! Very rich and satisfying. I also enjoyed the Gillardeau no. 3 for its unique chewy and crunchy texture and it has scent of the sea and a soft nutty taste. Grilled squid is a winner, easily the best one I’ve had so far (way better than the izakayas I’ve been). They are grilled to such perfection, there is an unmistakably crunch to the tentacles and the squid rings are extremely soft and tender. Went for the whole char grilled sea bream instead of the fillets. No regrets at all! Very juicy and moist flesh, overall light texture with delicate crispy skin!

What’s a world without oyster? 6 days left for Greenwood Fish Market’s World Oyster Festival.

When I saw this, I knew I had to try it. My love for oyster can be seen through the frequent mention in my feed.

Tasting platter consist of assorted oysters, each having their own attribute. Sweet, salty, aromatic, nutty, firm, briny.

It is my first time having fine dining & trying all these food.

I had Crab Cake, Prawn Risotto & Salmon Wellington.

All of them tasted good.

However, as they believed in preparing everything fresh and it was a company event consisting of about 70 pax, the food took very long to come out. We waited for 1.5hr to have our appetizer and another 1hr for entree. I left without eating the dessert as it was late already.

Prize isn't cheap too. I don't think I would ever recommend my friends to come here.

Char grilled with mash potatoes and grilled vegetables. Firm, flaky flesh with crispy skin.

Tried the French fine de Claire, Baron point USA (big ones) and blue point.

Green lipped mussels are the best! Plump, juicy and fleshy!

calamari and the bread was def the star of the night!!! the calamari was lightly seasoned and the batter albeit soft was sufficiently crunchy. perhaps my standards are a bit low but most places that serve calamari are so horrible that this is pretty high on my list.
the bread were glorious. soft, fluffy, and warm. we’re willing to go all the way back just for the bread.
the mains were super lackluster on the other hand. the barramundi was super fishy at points and the mashed potato was hard (not jk). the fish and chips batter was soft (is it a trend by now) and completely unseasoned - in short, super unpalatable
