Featured here: classic fish and chips in the front, and classic truffle pasta at the back. Can’t go wrong with these safe favorites!

Clams, or Oysters?? I’d choose BOTH! 😆 In the first picture, NZ clams were in the foreground, and The Oriental Clams from Korea were at the back... the oriental ones were larger and juicer compared to the NZ variety

We picked a 1.5kg Orange Roughy, from the deep waters in New Zealand (swipe right to see), and had it flame grilled. The result was: charred and crispy on the outside, and juicy and flaky on the inside, just delightful. Well worth the $150 price tag!

The best crab cake I ever had in Singapore and probably my life. I’m not a huge crab cake person cause it’s usually just fried batter but this was a whole chunk of crab meat with sweet potato & black pepper aioli sauce. You can taste the black pepper with every bite & it reminded me of a peeled black pepper crab. So shiok when you don’t have to peel it & every mouthful is a huge chunk right?

There is something special about seeing seafood being prepared moments before it is served to you at your table. Which is what happens at the very spacious 2-months-old @greenwoodfishmarket at Dempsey Hill.
Don’t you agree that this tower, the “Cold Seafood Platter“ calls out to be scaled by pescatarians and all seafood lovers alike?
Stacked on is a variety of bounty from the sea that includes half of a steamed Boston lobster, freshly shucked oysters, New Zealand green lip mussels, littleneck clams (which aren’t so little), large cooked live tiger prawns (these are so bouncy and sweet) and little pots of marinated yellowfin tuna and in-house applewood cold smoked salmon.
Literally a visual feast as well, I think it is a wonderful choice of appetiser for sharing with family or friends.
Those who prefer their food warm will be happy to know Greenwood Fish Market also does a hot version with half a grilled lobster, chilli oysters, mussels and clams in white wine butter, garlic sea prawns, grilled hot squid, hot smoked salmon and grilled abalone with a tasty-sounding sauce of shallots, spring onions and extra virgin olive oil. This is priced at $118++ and also serves 4.

It is recommended that this fish is best served pan seared for that crispy skin.
