Along with the spaghetti with crabmeat in pink sauce, and olive fried rice with pork belly! The chicken wings were well marinated and super crispy! The spaghetti was also good, though crabmeat not aplenty. And the sauce got kind of salty after awhile (and we didn't have a drop of water with us and we didn't want to order drinks in the restaurant). The olive fried rice was surprisingly good! Fragrant fried rice with soup which gave all the homey feel! Btw, there is a $0 klook voucher offering free chicken wings as long as you spend min 300 baht or smth! but offer not valid at this central world outlet! Since we had enough food to conquer at Siam square the next day, we just made do and paid for our chicken wings here 😂 #burpple #burpplebkk #greyhound #greyhoundcafe #centralworld #centralworldbkk

It’s a pity that I did not manage to fit in the famous Soi 19 Wanton Mee in my itinerary this time round (I’ll be back so wait for me please!) Thankfully, I still managed to enjoy a good plate of Thai Wanton MEE at CentralWorld foodcourt! 😍😍😍
.
Selling at THB 65 a bowl, their wanton mee comes with very thin egg noodles that were extremely light & springy. 👍🏻 Topped with some pepper & i-don’t-know-what-other seasonings, the noodles were good on its own IMO! ❤❤❤ Loved the addition of savoury preserved radish which added a pleasant crunch & depth in flavours! 👏🏻
.
Quite a generous amount of pork wantons & BBQ pork which were relatively lean (the way I like it)! 😋😋😋 Needless to say, I wiped clean the entire bowl, together with the accompany bowl of light savoury-sweet soup. ✔
.
My mum tried the soup version of Noodle with shrimp wantons, BBQ pork & mushrooms (THB 89, S$3.90). 😊 The broth carried a stronger flavour due to the addition of dried mushrooms. Those shrimp wantons were LEGIT good - plump, juicy & fresh with sweet juices oozing in every bite! 💯
.
We also tried the Grilled Pork Satay (THB 89, S$3.90 for 8 skewers), which was nowhere near our Singapore standard due to the lack of chao-tar (burnt) aroma but I like peanut dips so it was still pleasant! 😉

Central World may not be the best place to bag your loots in Bangkok but to me, it was really one of the places where we feasted on Thai desserts a lot! 🤩🤩🤩 Located beside the Food Hall area are pushcarts selling both local & international small bites. 👏🏻 Here’s what we tried:
.
🔹️Rice Noodles in Coconut Milk (泰式椰糖绿凉粉) from Wat Jes Lod Chong: Going at THB 35 (S$1.50), this legit tasted like CHENDOL (cuz of the pandan jelly, coconut milk, gula melaka & ice) without the red bean. Super fragrant & keeps you wanting more! ❤❤❤ Also tried their Red Ruby in Coconut milk (THB 35) too but it was nothing fantastic - the exterior coating was too hard & the water chestnut pieces weren’t big enough, hence losing that pleasant crunch that I was looking forward to. 😔
.
🔹️Thai Coconut Munchkin (泰式椰香糯米糍) from Khun Yai Pong Sri Traditional Thai Dessert: A packet for THB 50 (S$2.20), this resembles our ondeh-ondeh, except the molten gula melaka filling had been swopped for crunchy grated coconut cooked in gula melaka! 💕 Love the crunch & immensely sweet juices in every bite, which complements the chewy & more bland glutinous rice ball. 😋😋😋 This is also where I also bought my favourite Luk Chup at THB 50 a packet! ✔
.
🔹️Kluay Ping, which essentially is Thai Grilled Sweet Bananas (THB 60, S$2,60). Bananas in skewers are roasted on the spot till a little charred on the exterior, before some smashing action to flatten it & slicing into a cup. 🤤 Drizzled with a luscious coat of smooth coconutty syrup that is mildly sweet, this was quite a treat when eaten hot! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Kickstarting sharing of my Bangkok eats with my favourite thai snack - LUK CHUP! 😍😍😍

Had been hunting this down since Day 1 but only found it on Day 3 at CentralWorld (but never again!) ✌🏻 Anyone knows where else this is sold in BKK? 🤔
.
I would describe these as mini mung bean ang ku kuehs! Featuring agar-agar coconut cream layer encasing sweet mung bean filling, i simply couldnt resist these cute gems of fruit shapes!! ! SUPER YUMS! ❤❤❤ Bought 2 small packets at THB50 each (~sgd$2.20) & i finished them myself all over 2 days 😋
.
Missing these sweet treats so much! 🤤 Hope they brighten up your day & hang in there - Friday is coming! 😎

Grilled Sea Bass served with sides of pan fried asparagus, tomato, potato mash and lemon. It was a decent dish with tender meat but I thought the accompanying sauce was slightly too acidic.

A very value for money option for that generous amount of fresh seafood (scallops, squids, prawns) thrown in! Can’t actually remember if I’ve had any spicy pesto pastas before but Greyhound’s version tasted like a Thai fusion dish, probably due to the kind of spices used. It borders slightly along the line of being an acquired taste but we quite enjoyed it! It wasn’t too oily and the kicks of moderate spice helped to cut through the heavier pesto.
